The artwork done by Hosslass is amazing!! I love the rich colors, and the calming style. Horses, buffalo and eagles, the wild west comes to life with the soft touch of the brush.

Aquariann Rides The Crazy Train
One of my all time favorite artists is Aquariann on ArtFire! Her artwork is fantastic, romantic and whimsical. She is the creator or beautiful creatures from fairies and dragons to pirates with parrots.
She has bookmarkers, magnets and framed art! I love the vibrant colors and can feel a world of wonder open in my imagination every time I visit her shop! Just take a peek....

Studio JRU Rides the Crazy Train!
This are is truly inspirational. I love the texture and colors. So relaxing! That's one of the great things about the Crazy Train...seeing shops that you may have missed or never even seen! I'm glad I have seen this one.

Unexpected....
I love taking a leisurely stroll through peoples shops. I found an amazing photographer, Lori Mackay, who owns Little Odd Me! on 1000 Markets.
She has the most amazing series of photo art called Frost. Like the one to the right. 
The beauty is supplied my mother nature, but the art is supplied by Lori! During my visit through Lori's shop I scroll down through beautiful blooms, wondrous frosts, gorgeous scenery, and then...WHAM!
SPIDERS!! That's right, spiders! Right there, right in my face, no warning, no nothing!! I can't even post a pic to it, I may have a heart attack. But feel free to click on that link and go take a peek if you are brave enough.
Well, of course I was traumatized. I mean, just the day before I had had a battle in my shower with the biggest spider EVER! Seriously, that thing was like a quarter inch across, if not a FOOT!
So, quickly I scrolled down and managed to calm my heart rate a bit with more calming pictures while chanting: I am in tranquility, I am in tranquility, I am in tranquility.
Whew, I was feeling better!!
And then I ran across a picture of my house! Who'd know that she would take a picture of my future house! I mean, I didn't even know I was going to buy it until I saw it! Check it out...
And then! MORE SPIDERS!! ACK!! So, now I'm all creepy crawly, and my nerves are on edge. But it was sure a great experience to go through Lori's shop and see her beautiful work.
But seriously, those gross arachnid thingies are amazing creatures. Don't get me wrong. They eat other nasty bugs, which don't gross me out by the way. And they can make amazingly strong fibers which come out of their rear ends, of all places! If we could harness that ability, imagine where the world would be. And how much money we'd save on panty hose!!

Summer craft/art sale season is here!!
I had to make a difficult decission today: to sale or not to sale? (I know, SALE was spelled that way intentionally, lol)
I had to take into account the gas prices (boo to every oil company that is making billions of dollars at the expense of the poor Americans), the distance I have to travel, the booth fees and the energy I have to expend.
So let's see, gas is now $3.89/gal. I have to drive 2.5 hours. I have to get up at 4 a.m, and I have no energy or inclination to travel that distance at those prices to be let down and lose money because everyone else is in the same boat as me. CAN'T AFFORD GAS!
So, I've decided that I will only be entering into juried art sales this year. I will most like only be doing about 2-4 sales.
I know this may seem drastic to some. And although I usually do fairly well at these sales, I have yet to meet the percentage of sales that is required by the professionals to make the events worth while.
So, I will be taking those gas funds and trying my hand at some sort of advertising. I know, I know... these sales ARE advertising. However, I don't feel that I have many return customers from these sales. So to me, at least, I don't feel they have much of an impact except to make a couple extra dollars on short notice. And now, with gas prices what they are, I don't want to take any chances.

I just spoke to my sister, who I do the craft sales with, and she also has decided not to do many shows this year. For her knit items, she gets a ton of repeat customers who call her directly. And for my beads, I do pretty well online. So I feel a whole lot better! SMILES :)
